Though the story of Minecraft’s development is unique, equally so are the stories of those who play the game. They may take it to unexpected places and push the limits of its design; or they may find the game itself changing their lives in unexpected ways.
2 Player Productions is putting out an open call for Minecraft players to send us your personal stories about how the game has impacted your life. These stories will be collected and considered for inclusion in “Minecraft: The Story of Mojang,” the new feature-length documentary in development by 2 Player Productions.
Please submit your story in 350 words or less to

After playing alot of single player, I joined a Multiplayer server, that was when I got totally glued to minecraft. Playing it in all of my possible free time. I became mates with most of the people on the server and talked to them on Xbox live. One day someone spawned "Steve" using multiplayer commands, and on my texture pack it made steve look like the Herobrine lie on youtube. Because I was a noobie I really thought this was the Herobrein and shat myself.
Minecraft is a totally amazing game, better than any other game I've ever played. Better than those Overrated FPS.
I have been playing it since 1.3

Then a month later, it came up again with one of my only friends. He told me to look this game up, so I went onto youtube and started watching vids like paulsoaresjr and coestar. This convinced me to buy the game.
Singleplayer is great and everything, but multiplayer is what I do. I had been a fan of this guy, RiskyGaming on youtube for a while and found out his friend had a public server, so I joined and had fun with the guys. I became friends with all the peeps on the server, and then killed others, and soon we started talking over skype and stuff. Now we're really tight friends.
Also, it improved my school life because now I have something to talk about at school! I swear, I walked into class the other day and I heard a kid humming C418. I want to thank you Notch personally, for imrpoving my life.
As Minecraft progressed, I bought a calendar JUST for the Minecraft updates. It's right next to my computer, and it has all the memorable dates, 1.13.11, the release of 1.2, all the way up to 5.28.11, which was the release of update 1.6.5. I'm always ever waiting for the next update of Minecraft to come out, and I know Adventure Mode will probably come out in Patch 1.7. I am really excited for it, as I always have been.
Now, since my first day of Minecraft, I have built dozens of Minecraft calculators, RAM bits, and hundreds of tree, cactus, reed and wheat farms. I even have 2 private servers running on my computers at home, which allow all my friends and I to play together. I couldn't remember one time in my life when I was happier than I am now.
Minecraft have brought a happy future for me. Thank you, Notch.
